If you have ever try to see details of Tokyo city with Google earth, you must have found this big guy... In a character crazy like Japan, it should not be too surprising to find something cute like that. But I still wonder what it is and if Tokyo people themselves new about it's existence... I mean... this illustration look quiet old... imagine guys from an other planet coming to earth and trying to choose different cities to land in friendly territory? If I was an "uchujin" I would definatly choose Tokyo for that matter... a city with a ridiculous character like that can't be wrong minded.

This is my Tsumekiri(a Nail clipper). i usually use this when i cut my nails. i have used this one for a very long time, like since i was a child. and i really like this one because its so easy to cut my nails everytime. and never been broken yet.
it says "FEATHER" and made in japan. i dont know this brand. but i just like this so much.

Please present us your "bland brand" of Japan. We all know them but we feel nothing, we expect nothing, we hear nothing about them... they just exist and are part of the Japanese landscape.
I know I place the bare pretty high by starting with "National" for which I have really nothing to say or feel but this logo is just blander than bland...
Do we have something better than that?

OK, so this isn't exactly a brand, but it's a kind of logo. There used to be several of these notices up at Arashiyama (Kyoto), and maybe elsewhere too. I just love the way the elephant and bird are so angry at the fire-starting rabbit. -

why is japanese flag too simple like that anyway?
easy to draw, and looks like umeboshi and rice............
maybe because jap people love umeboshi and rice so much.......
French flag has very good sense of colors.
