Hello there. I've been been studying Japanese for about a year now and my ability is around JLPT2 level. I am probably not ready yet for any kind of heavy translation but if there is anyone out there looking for transcription or proofreading work, please let me know. Thanks a lot!!!

Hey group. I am just starting to get into the translation business. But I am not so sure how to go about getting translation gigs in Japan. Any recommendations regarding translation resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Hey, I was hoping I could find something like this around Asoboo. Right now I'm studying Japanese in college, with translation as my career goal. I would love to hear about why people got interested in translation, how they got started, etc. Any tips you could give to an aspiring translator such as myself would be great. Thanks in advance!

My name's David. I've been doing translation full-time for only a couple of years. I've yet to specialize in a particular field, but am enthusiastic about the job and keen to meet others in the same profession. As well as straight out translation, I do quite a bit of copywriting, so am looking to develop that side of things as well. Like the group leader says, language and communication is where it's at, so looking forward to connecting with people interested in the same.
